Las Perlitas, which translates to ‘little pearls,’ represents a delightful celebration of meticulously washed coffee sourced from various small lots produced by dedicated farmers in the Huila region. This initiative creates a true win-win situation for all parties involved, providing a meaningful way to reward the tireless commitment and efforts of the producers of these small lots, while not excluding them for having said smaller lots. Coffee buyers and enthusiasts on the ground are perpetually on the lookout for these elusive ‘little pearls’ scattered across the expansive region, further highlighting their unique rarity and exceptional quality.
This is another coffee we have sourced through Prodigal Coffee. Knowing their standards we had high expectations for this coffee already, but from the first roast this coffee truly blew us away. While hot, big fruit, rock candy, and tropical notes appear instantly. As it cools we’ve noted peach and guava tea. Once completely cooled chocolatey notes come forward.
Our preferred brew method: Pour Over or Cold Brew!
This is truly a fruit basket of a coffee! Enjoy!
